Hi Britany, I just saw this comment. Sorry I&#039;m getting back to you so late in the year. :)  Cripple bothers me and many other people I know. Yet, I am aware that each person with a physical disability has a list of words they are ok with and a list they are not ok with. Cripple by definition works for us but even the sound of it makes me shudder. I don&#039;t like wheelchair bound either. I really dislike &quot;special needs&quot;.

I am taking it back and am proud to be a cripple but I hate the terms special needs, handicapped, and wheelchair bound. When I meet another person in chair or whatever I use person language first until they tell me which term they prefer and I do the same. Like every other group of people we all are different and have different opinions on every subject especially language.]]></description>
