Such an impactful testimony. Truly, truly moved by your experience and hate that accessibility was such an issue. It's so easy for these things to go unnoticed or for us to even not care, so I'm glad you shared your story ♡

So very well written. This really opened my eyes to problems on campus I have never faced and sadly never noticed. I can't help but feel ashamed that the pathways that I traversed to class were poorly maintained, unprotected, and oftentimes inaccessible nightmares for my fellow classmates. Having to beg and fight tooth and nail for access ramps, handicap friendly pathways, and operational door buttons makes me wonder if the administration cares for anything other than more parking spaces for more paying students.

This article points out a lot of accessibility issues that most abled college students dont even think about. Of course the stairs to the elevator are baffling, but until this I never realized that a lack of safe sidewalks could mean so much. Students should not have to nag their college to let them safely and comfortably navigate campus; it's insane that accessibility isn't front-of-mind when designing and building campuses. Great reminder that just because a space is "walkable" does not mean it is accessible. Wonderful article, thank you for sharing.

Such a well-written piece highlighting the struggles so many people aren't privy to unless they have someone close to them with the same mobility devices. I especially resonated with every single bit that simply brought to light the corners the government/other institutions will cut (especially in dangerous ways) to be "ADA Compliant".
